Safe Casual Dating: The Tools That Keep You in Control

Relax, flirt and meet with confidence: what the site does to protect you, and the habits that keep a first meeting safe.

The short answer

Naughty Singles gives you optional ID and video verification, private usernames, location privacy, instant blocking and reporting, AI and human moderation and 24/7 support. No site can check everyone, so your own habits are the strongest protection.

Built in

Eighteen ways the site has your back

Casual dating works best when you’re relaxed, and you’re more relaxed when you control who sees what. These are the tools built into Naughty Singles, grouped by what they do for you.

What protects you on the site

  • Identity and verification

    • ID verification badge. Free ID verification is optional, and the badge shows on your profile.
    • Video verification. A live check with a moderator confirms who you are without documents.
    • Age assurance. An AI age estimate, with further checks where the law requires them.
  • Privacy and control

    • Safe usernames. Your real name and email are never shown.
    • Location privacy. Only your nearest town or city, never your address or live location.
    • Instant blocking. Someone you block can no longer contact or see you.
    • Easy reporting. Report people or content in a couple of taps.
  • Community trust

    • User rating system. A reputation score based on behaviour and feedback.
    • One-click feedback. Upvote or downvote an interaction.
    • Off-platform contact alerts. A warning when someone tries to move the chat to an app such as WhatsApp.
  • Active protection

    • Behaviour monitoring. AI looks for suspicious patterns from scammers and bots.
    • Content moderation. Images, videos and text are screened on upload by AI and human reviewers.
    • Swift takedown. Fast action on requests to remove unauthorised content.
    • Explicit image protection. Sensitive images are blurred with a warning first.
  • Support and standards

    • 24/7 human support. Real people on the support team, at any hour.
    • Safe dating guidance. Tips and reminders built into the site.
    • Secure hosting. SSL encryption on PCI-compliant cloud infrastructure.
    • Industry standards. Involvement with the Online Dating and Discovery Association.

Being straight with you

What no dating site can do

Tools reduce risk. They do not remove it.

Naughty Singles does not run criminal background checks, and its terms say profiles and messages may not be genuine, so treat every new contact with the care you would online. Verification badges help you spot people who have proved who they are. They are optional, so a profile without one is not automatically a problem, and a badge is not a promise about how someone will behave.

Romance scams are the risk worth knowing best. The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center counted 23,159 romance and confidence fraud complaints in 2025, with more than 929 million dollars in reported losses. In the UK, City of London Police figures say people lost more than 102 million pounds to romance fraud in 2025. Our guide to spotting a fake profile lists the warning signs, and are hookup sites safe covers what to check on any site.

Never send money. The US Federal Trade Commission’s advice is blunt: never send money or gifts to a sweetheart you have not met in person. If someone asks, block and report them.

Before you meet

Four habits for a first meeting

Charities and police forces give the same core advice, and it works for casual dates as much as for any other.

  1. Set your own pace

The US charity RAINN says there is no rush to meet in person, and that someone who pressures you to meet quickly is a red flag. Keep chatting on the site until you feel sure.

  2. Meet somewhere public and busy

RAINN recommends a well-lit, busy place such as a coffee shop, restaurant or park, and avoiding private or isolated places for the first few dates. Police Scotland says to meet in a public place and, if you can, go in the daytime.

  3. Tell a friend and control your own transport

The UK’s Suzy Lamplugh Trust advises telling someone where you are going, who you are meeting and the website you arranged it through, and checking in before, during and after. Take a charged phone and plan your own way home.

  4. Know that you can leave

RAINN adds that you do not owe anyone your time when your comfort or safety is at risk. Plan an exit in advance, and trust your instincts if something feels wrong.

The rules

Adults only, and respect for everyone

You must be 18 or over to join, or 21 in Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska and Wyoming. Keep your surname, address, phone number and social media handles off your profile, and share more in private only when you choose to. Everyone agrees not to harass, impersonate or pressure anyone, and content that breaks the rules is removed. The about page lists the house rules.

If something goes wrong, block the person, report them from the profile or chat, and contact support at any hour. If you have lost money to a scam, tell your bank straight away and report it to the authorities in your country.

The safety questions everyone asks

Is Naughty Singles safe?

It has the protections most people look for: optional ID and video verification, private usernames, location privacy, moderation and instant blocking. No site can promise safety, so meeting in public and telling a friend still matter. The full list is above.

Does Naughty Singles check who is real?

It offers optional ID and video verification and shows a badge when a member completes one, and it monitors for bots and scammers. It does not run criminal background checks, so a profile without a badge is not proof of a problem, and a badge is not a character reference.

Can other members see where I live?

No. Other members see a username and your nearest town or city. Your real name, email, exact location and address stay private, and you decide what to share in a conversation.

What happens to explicit photos?

Images and videos are screened on upload by AI and human reviewers, and potentially sensitive images are blurred with a warning until you choose to view them. You can report anything that crosses a line, and unauthorised content is taken down quickly.

Who do I contact if something goes wrong?

Block and report the person from inside the site, then contact the support team, which is available around the clock. For a scam or a threat, also tell your bank or the police in your country.
