The Census Bureau’s estimates for July 2025 make California, Texas, Florida and New York the four most populous states. They also hold the biggest groups of our members, so the site follows the map.

Across the country the biggest age group is 35 to 44, with 45 to 54 next. The mix shifts from state to state: in Florida the biggest group is 45 to 54, and New York state runs younger, as the New York guide shows.

- The lower 48 states run from Eastern to Pacific time. Check the clock before you agree a time with someone a state or two away.
- Clocks that change
- They go forward on the second Sunday of March and back on the first Sunday of November. Arizona keeps standard time all year, apart from the Navajo Nation.
- A drinking age of 21
- The US minimum legal drinking age is 21, so members aged 18 to 20 will want a cafe, a market or a walk for a first meeting.

Scammers often claim they cannot meet in person, which is why the Federal Trade Commission’s advice is so short: “Never send money or gifts to a sweetheart you haven’t met in person.” A Pew Research Center survey published in 2023 found that about half of US dating site and app users, 52%, had come across someone they thought was trying to scam them.

How common is casual dating in the United States?
A Pew Research Center survey published in 2023 found that three in ten US adults have used a dating site or app. Of those who used one in the past year, four in ten named dating casually as a major reason, and about a quarter named casual sex.
Where in the USA does Naughty Singles have members?

How old do I have to be to join?
You must be 18 or over. Our terms set the minimum at 21 in Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska and Wyoming, and in any other place where 18 is not the age of majority. The full wording is in the terms and conditions linked at the foot of every page.
Is it safe to meet someone from another state?
Treat it like meeting any stranger. Keep chatting on the site until you are sure, send no money to anyone you have not met, and pick a public place with your own way home. Tell a friend your plans, and block and report anyone who pushes.
Where can I get tested for STIs in the United States?
The CDC runs a GetTested locator for HIV, STI and hepatitis testing near you, including low-cost and no-cost clinics. Its guidelines say everyone aged 13 to 64 should be tested at least once for HIV. A doctor or clinic can advise which tests suit you.
