Near you, and beyond
Who is near you in Atlanta?
Atlanta is Georgia’s capital and most populous city, yet Wikipedia puts the share of the region’s people who live inside the city limits at about one in ten. Locals say ITP or OTP for inside or outside the Perimeter, their name for the I-285 highway. Widen your distance to cover both, as the singles near me page explains. VIP members can also search by city and distance; see the features page.

The bars show Georgia as a whole, and its group is smaller than in the bigger states, so read the shares as a rough guide: 35 to 44 leads.

Getting home
How late does MARTA run, and what then?
- Trains and buses finish around 1 AM. Trains run 4:45 AM to 1 AM on weekdays and 6 AM to 1 AM at weekends, buses to 1 AM and 12:30 AM, with an evening train about every 20 minutes.
- Check for special schedules. MARTA runs them for track work, holidays and events.
- Know the gaps. MARTA rail doesn’t reach Emory University or Cumberland, and cars are the dominant way to get around the region.
- Ride-hail is licensed. Georgia requires ride share networks to hold an annual licence and drivers to carry digital proof of it. Drivers also need a background check or a For-Hire endorsement.
- Riders get backup. MARTA Police patrol buses, trains, stations and parking lots, and the MARTA App lets you report concerns anonymously.

Look after each other: the Fulton County Board of Health runs Sexual Health Clinics, DeKalb Public Health offers confidential STI testing, and the CDC’s GetTested locator points to clinics nearby.
Atlanta, in a few answers
Which Atlanta spots suit a first meeting?
Pick somewhere busy in daylight or early evening. Piedmont Park is open from 6am to 11pm, Centennial Olympic Park from 7am to 10pm, and the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail runs past Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market.
How late does MARTA run?
Trains end at 1 AM, weekdays and weekends alike, and buses run until 1 AM on weekdays and 12:30 AM at weekends. Special schedules for track work, holidays and events can change that, so check before you set off.
Can I meet people outside the city of Atlanta?
Yes. Your distance setting decides who you see, and the metro area reaches well past the city limits. Widen it and Decatur, Marietta, Roswell and Sandy Springs come within reach, along with the rest of the core counties: Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, DeKalb and Clayton.
Where can I get tested for STIs in Atlanta?
Atlanta spans two counties. The Fulton County Board of Health runs Sexual Health Clinics, DeKalb Public Health offers confidential testing and treatment, and the CDC’s GetTested locator lists clinics nearby. To learn which tests make sense for you, ask one of those clinics or your own doctor.
