Pure, in plain words

Pure App Dating: Chats That Vanish After 24 Hours

How Pure works, what it costs to get inside and who it suits, set beside Naughty Singles.

The short answer

Pure is an open-minded dating app: you post a personal ad, and chats vanish after 24 hours unless you both keep them. Its own App Store text says you have to subscribe to get inside. Naughty Singles is a browser site with daily suggestions, and its crowd leans 35 to 54. Choose by how much you like a timer.

How it works

How does the Pure app work?

Everything on Pure starts with a personal ad, so that is where we start too.

  1. Write your ad first

You cannot see anyone else’s ad until you have posted your own. It carries up to three photos, some turn-ons and a looking-for goal you can change any time. Explicit photos and contact details are not allowed.

  2. Browse a feed that follows you

Your feed follows your preferences and location, with filters on top. One filter shows ads in any city, and a Perfect Match switch keeps only the ads that share all your turn-ons.

  3. Like an ad and wait for a like back

When the liking is mutual, a chat opens. Likes run on a 24-hour clock too, so nothing sits around for weeks.

  4. Talk before the timer runs out

A chat expires after 24 hours, with anything shared in it, unless you both agree to switch the timer off. Inside you can swap photos, videos, stickers and voice messages, or make a video call.

Fair play to Pure

What does Pure do well?

It sweats the small print of privacy, and four numbers tell most of the story.

  • 24hours before a chat and its contents expire
  • 3photos at most in one personal ad
  • 5looking-for goals to pick from, changeable any time
  • 30seconds is the most Pure says its optional selfie check takes

Around those numbers sits a set of tools. My Media Rules blur or block explicit photos in the feed and in chats, chat alerts flag words scammers often use, and screenshots are blocked, with the other person told if you try. Safety Signal shares your live location and your date’s photos with someone you trust for 2, 4 or 6 hours, and your date is told.

In the UK, Pure says a face scan comes before your first ad.

Privacy

How private is Pure?

On Pure

Other members see your ad, and your email and real name stay behind it. You can hide the ad from the feed, photos and videos can self-destruct, and incognito mode, a paid extra, hides when you are online.

On Naughty Singles

Members see a username, never your real name or email. Your profile names only your nearest town or city, and sensitive images arrive blurred with a warning.

Neither can promise secrecy, so share only what you would be happy to see repeated. Our safety page lists every protection we run, and the discreet dating guide covers the habits.

The money

How does Pure charge?

Pure is upfront about it. The app costs nothing to download, but its own App Store text says you have to subscribe to get inside, and plans run weekly, monthly or annual. Paid extras include virtual gifts, incognito mode, a men-only boost and a women-only plan called Pure Queen.

The honest read: Pure is built to be paid for and says so. Decide whether the timer and the privacy tools are worth a subscription to you.

Naughty Singles has three levels, Classic, VIP and VIP Plus. The pricing page sets out each plan and which ones renew, and Boosts and Super Match are paid add-ons on VIP Plus.

Pick your fit

Which suits you, Pure or us?

A timer on one side, a profile on the other.

Pure suits you better if

  • You like chats that clear themselves, with screenshots blocked.
  • You would rather write a personal ad than fill in a profile.
  • You want an app on your phone, with a web sign-in as back-up.

Naughty Singles suits you better if

  • You want daily suggestions that weigh the relationship type you choose.
  • You would rather open a site in your browser than install an app.
  • You like a crowd where about six in ten members are 35 to 54.

Pure’s about page lists honesty and consent among its values, and we say the same: a no is a no on any app. Our features page shows what each level adds, and the best hookup apps covers the wider field.

Pure app questions, answered

Is the Pure app free?

The Pure app is free to download on the App Store, but its own listing text says you have to subscribe to get inside. Plans are weekly, monthly or annual, with paid extras on top. Our levels are set out on the pricing page.

Is Pure a hookup app?

Pure calls itself open-minded dating, and its FAQ says you can be “as casual as you like”. Each member picks a looking-for goal from five options and can change it any time, so read the ad and ask what someone wants.

How do Pure’s disappearing chats work?

A mutual like opens a chat, which expires after 24 hours along with anything shared in it, unless you both switch the timer off. Pure blocks screenshots and tells the other person if you try one.

Is Pure anonymous?

Pure’s Google Play title calls it anonymous, and other members see your ad, not your email or real name. Self-destructing photos, a hide-my-ad option and a paid incognito mode add to that. Treat them as tools, not a promise.

Can I use Pure on a computer?

Yes. Pure has a web sign-in as well as iPhone and Android apps, and its FAQ says a subscription bought on the web works in the app too. Our hookup app page shows how Naughty Singles sits on a home screen.

Who runs Pure?

Pure’s terms name Online Classifieds AG of Zug, Switzerland, which is also the seller on the App Store and the developer on Google Play. Pure says it launched in 2013, and Naughty Singles has been online since 2014.
