Choosing well

Sexting Sites and Apps: How to Choose a Good One

A plain checklist for adults who have already decided, plus where a dating site fits. Consent first, adults only.

The short answer

Look for a service that checks ages properly, publishes a privacy policy you can read, blurs explicit images and lets you block and report in a tap. Walk away from anyone asking for money. A dating site fits if you would like to meet the person too, not only chat.

What makes a sexting site or app worth using?

Sexting sites, sexting websites, sexting chat rooms, a sexting app: the questions are the same.

Who gets in, what happens to your pictures, how fast can you end a chat? You have decided already, so no lecture and no ranking: the checks outlast the names.

Ground rules first. Everyone involved is an adult, everyone wants to be there and a no ends it. Nobody under 18 belongs in a chat, a picture or a role, and nobody gets pushed into sending anything.

Which kind of sexting site, app or chat room suits you?

Each kind changes what you can see and control, not who is on the other end: the FBI says sextortion can start on any site, app, messaging platform or game.

Dating sites with private messaging
Ours is one. Members have profiles and say what they want. The catch: it is a dating community, so a flirty chat may become a date.
Messaging apps you already use
Quick, familiar and already on your phone. The price is your number, which the Electronic Frontier Foundation says can identify you and link your accounts.
Anonymous chat apps and open rooms
No real names, often no faces, and anyone can drift in. ODDA, the dating industry’s trade body, advises sharing nothing you would not want friends or family to see.
Webcam sites
Face to face in real time, and Report Fraud, the UK’s fraud reporting service, lists dodging live video calls as a warning sign. The catch: SWGfL, a UK charity with a helpline for adults, lists webcam blackmail among its topics.

The checklist, checked 16 October 2026

Eight checks for a service that looks after you

Run these on any service, ours included. Are hookup sites safe covers the wider checks.

  1. Adults only, with real age checks

Ofcom, the UK regulator, says a tick in an over-18 box is no longer enough for sites and apps that allow adult content, and lists facial age estimation and photo-ID matching among the stronger methods.

  2. A privacy policy you have read

Find out who runs the service, what it collects and how to delete your account. UK government guidance says some dating sites share profiles with other websites, so check which. Our discreet dating guide covers phone habits.

  3. How photos and videos are handled

Can you report an image and have it removed? The US Federal Trade Commission says platforms covered by the TAKE IT DOWN Act must remove an intimate photo or video within 48 hours of your request.

  4. Blocking and reporting in a tap

Block someone instantly, report them without a hunt through menus, and expect a person to read the report. ODDA says to trust that little “hmm” feeling and hit report.

  5. Explicit images blurred, with a warning

A July 2022 Pew Research Center survey found that 38% of US dating site and app users had received an explicit message or image they never asked for. A warning and a blur let you choose whether to look.

  6. Billing you understand

Before you enter a card, find the price, the plan length, whether it renews by itself and how to cancel. Romance is complicated enough without a surprise renewal.

  7. Nobody asking for money, gift cards or crypto

The FTC says romance scammers favour gift cards, wire transfers and cryptocurrency because the money is hard to get back. Its advice is blunt: never send cash or presents to a sweetheart you have not met in person.

  8. A plan for sextortion

In 2025, more than 75,000 sextortion submissions reached the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center, and adults of every age are targeted. If someone threatens to share your pictures, do not pay or give access to your accounts, block them, cut off contact and report it.

Who to tell. In the US, local police and the FBI at tips.fbi.gov. In the UK, the police, or SWGfL’s helpline for adults. StopNCII.org, a charity tool that costs nothing, helps limit spread on the platforms that take part. The FTC warns that some firms charge big fees to stop sextortion and do not deliver. The steps are in what is sexting. General information only.

What to avoid

Five signs it is time to close the chat

The FTC, ODDA and Report Fraud between them list all five, and spotting a fake profile has more.

  • Asks for money, gift cards or crypto
  • Wants to leave the site fast
  • Asks you to keep them secret
  • Pushes you for pictures
  • Will not say who runs the service

Where a dating site fits, and where it does not

  • What Naughty Singles is

An adult dating site for people 18 and over (21 in a few US states). Members say what they want on their profiles, then message in private. Classic has a daily message allowance. VIP has no cap, plus chat rooms and private group chats of up to 50.

  • What it is not

Not a sexting-only service, not a webcam site. Nobody gets a criminal background check, and a profile or message may not be genuine, so give it the same eight checks.

  • Sensitive images arrive blurred, with a warning first.
  • Blocking is instant, reporting is easy and people staff support around the clock.
  • A warning flags attempts to steer the chat to another app, and behaviour monitoring watches for scammers and bots.
  • Age is estimated by AI, with further checks where the law requires them, and optional ID and video checks earn a badge.

Sexting sites and apps, answered

What is the best sexting site or app?

The best one is the one that checks ages, protects your photos and lets you block and report in a tap. Names change, those checks do not, so score any service, ours included, against the eight checks above.

Are sexting sites and apps safe?

No service can promise it, and ODDA says no online system is fully secure. Safer ones check ages, blur explicit images, offer blocking and reporting and say what happens to your data. After that it is down to what you send, because you can’t take it back.

Are there sexting chat rooms on Naughty Singles?

Not as such: Naughty Singles is an adult dating site, not a sexting service. VIP does add chat rooms and private group chats of up to 50 people. Adults only and consent first apply, and anyone who ignores a no can be blocked and reported.

What should I do if someone threatens to share my pictures?

Do not pay, do not give anyone access to your accounts or devices, and cut off contact. Report it to the police and, in the US, the FBI. SWGfL, a UK charity, runs a helpline for adults. ODDA says not to feel shame or hide the truth.
